CHALLENGE: Search Engine Marketing client spent one full time consuming and tedious day each week manipulating 30,000+ line DART database (Dynamic Advertising, Reporting & Targeting ad management platform) collected in 10 different spreadsheets in order to extract relevant data to populate tables and charts for upper management review.

SOLUTION: Automate data extraction process. Create macros and pivot tables to replace repetitive tasks and dynamically update data, thereby refreshing all corresponding pivot charts.

IMPACT: Proper data organization, macro buttons and the use of pivot tables and charts reduced the actual hands-on time of this project down to 10 minutes, allowing the client more time for analysis and for framing the numbers with context.  Eliminating the manual aspects of this reporting procedure saved the client nearly one full day each week, and prevented the purchase of unnecessary additional database software.
