If you’ve gotten the impression that this is a first for YBCA, that’s far from the truth. YBCA has long been the home of some great programming, with the likes of Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet being an example of a long running relationship.

YBCA, a part of Yerba Buena Gardens…

YBCA is actually part of Yerba Buena Gardens (YBG), the large beautiful public open space area bordered by 3rd Street, Mission Street, 4th Street and Howard. It includes the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Metreon, Zeum, Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center, Yerba Buena Bowling Center, the Historic Charles Looff Carousel…and YBCA!

Shh! Perhaps still one of San Francisco’s best kept secrets is the terrace overlooking the Esplanade, home of Samovar Tea Lounge and B Restaurant and Bar. Both are great spots for lunch, dinner and drinks, with outdoor seating areas. Highly recommended!
