Eric has always been the “go to” guy for organizational development and systems needs, and began utilizing the skills he acquired as a young writer and tech enthusiast for a greater cause when he coupled his passions with his desire to help faith-based organizations with their ministry development and retention efforts. Early on (2002) he quickly realized that a lot of time, effort, and resources were being used to get people through the front door, but very little was being done to keep them engaged and plugged in.  Initially the idea of utilizing technology wthin the church to increase and monitor the involvement and spiritual growth of attendees was a barrier to a large segment of the faith practice. However, with the development of enterprise-level Church Management Systems and creating engaging communications strategies, Eric realized that the goal of closing the back door and transitioning first time visitors to committed members was no longer a far fetched concept. This is where he has focused his energies and developed his expertise.

Eric most recently served on staff at the Rock Church in San Diego, a non-denominational church with over 15,000 weekly attendees, where he oversaw ministry development and data management, resulting in 200 small groups, 80 outreach ministries, and a system of assimilation that significantly impacted the visitor experience and increased ministry participation.
